Yana – Cook and Eat Bulgaria

A culinary adventure through the national Bulgarian cuisine
I will take you on a culinary adventure of the national Bulgarian cuisine.
What about the experience?
We will prepare seasonal meals and use fresh and locally grown products from the open market. Together we will cook a hands-on four course, traditional Bulgarian meal, including a soup, banitsa, main dish and a light desert.
Starting with the preparation of the classic pastry for banitsa from scratch while talking about mystical Bulgarian food and culture habits stories. Our soup will be traditional Bulgarian cold soup (Tarator) followed by the main course, which will be based on your food preferences (vegetarian or classic meat dish) and finishing with delicious Bulgarian yogurt desert with home grown ingredients.
You will have the chance to learn classic recipes and secret tips for mastering the Bulgarian cuisine. I will be happy to share with you products grown in my family’s back yard with a lot of love and care, like homemade alcoholic drinks and classic Bulgarian preserves.

You will be able to taste each meal that we will prepare together. Recipes and in season local ingredients for a 4 course traditional meal.

Vegeterian and Vegan options are available upon request. Please, inform me about any food allergies.

Who am I?
My name is Yana and I am a Teacher assistant in Arts at an international school located in Sofia. I inherited my cooking passion from the best teachers I could have – my grandparents, who used to manage the biggest restaurants in my home town.

I am offering you a cooking experience combined with a fun dinner party environment. Just like getting an invitation from a local Bulgarian friend! You will learn in a totally hands-on fashion — which means you get to cook (and eat!) each meal!

Get in touch with me for more details and to book the experience.
